Multimodal 2023 will celebrate sixteen years of putting shippers, retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and exporters in front of exhibitors who offer the latest logistics and supply chain solutions.
Multimodal is firmly established as the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe’s premier freight transport, logistics and supply chain management event.
Whether you are a 3PL, BCO, shipping line, logistics provider, haulier, pallet network, port or warehouse owner, Multimodal offers a unique opportunity to make valuable face to face contact with new prospects and existing companies. Year on year, shippers and cargo owners attend to improve their businesses; by finding ways of moving their products more efficiently and by meeting new suppliers.
Multimodal represents every logistics sector under one roof, and is characterised by key vertical sectors, including manufacturing, retail, agribusiness, chemical, automotive, electronics, FMCG, food & drink, fashion, pharmaceuticals, construction, aerospace, energy, real estate, recycling, paper/print and perishables, amongst others, whilst horizontally, the show covers all modes of transportation, including sea, road, rail, air and inland waterways.
This matrix design makes Multimodal incredibly valuable and accessible for shippers - whilst also affording them the opportunity to successfully meet and network with peers from other sectors, which is another key reason for their attendance.
This attendance in June will be bolstered by building on recent initiatives, including:
To further strengthen the value of Multimodal in 2023 will once again be working with the Institute of Export and International Trade (IOE&IT)
IOE&IT, as a provider of education and training to professionalise the UK’s international traders, will also run two days of CPD accredited free-to-attend seminars aimed at their membership of small/medium shippers. Whilst the CCT collaboration will further enhance the third day focus on the logistics industry future workforce addressing recruitment, apprenticeships, training, education and the skills gaps.
Multimodal continues to work closely with the market on more actionables and improvements to ensure that the show retains its position as the UK and Ireland’s leading and foremost transport and logistics event.
The 2023 conference programme will feature a host of vertical half day seminars that reflect shipper interests. These free-of-charge sessions will also allow suppliers to these sectors to participate in lively debate.
The BIFA Freight Forwarders Village has been an enormous success since its introduction in 2021, and the 2023 village will build on this, continuing to provide a marketplace for freight forwarders to showcase the products and services they offer in a simple and cost effective way.
Multimodal also featured two successful networking events in 2022:
Robert Jervis, Event Director said: “Industry commitment to Multimodal 2023 is gathering great pace with stand space bookings advanced compared to at the same time in previous years. Over 100 exhibitors are already confirmed and another 35 who have reserved their positions. We are also delighted to confirm the conference programme research has commenced, with all the major trade associations on board too.
“We're building on the highlights of a tremendous Multimodal 2022 - a Ministerial policy launch, Young Forwarders meeting, Maersk's rainbow container, Nestlé's double-stacking rail trailer, three packed seminar theatres, the Multimodal Mixer and the Multimodal Awards, to name a few.”
Multimodal 2023 takes place between 13-15 June 2023 in Hall 4 at the NEC, Birmingham.
