The UK’s premier supply chain event which brings all the sectors in the logistics and transport industry under one roof is set to return for its 15th show at Birmingham NEC in June.
Registration for the three-day, free-to-attend event, which takes place from June 14-17, is now open as exhibitors continue to sign up. Maersk, G&W, Maritime Transport, Malcolm Logistics, MSC, ABP, Kerry Logistics, O.N.E., Windward, CCL, Bristol Port, and Elddis Transport are among a growing number of exhibitors with stands at the event. Freight Industry Times will also be exhibiting, with a stand located in the ever-popular Rail Freight Pavilion.
The theme of the Multimodal 2022 seminar programme is supply chain sustainability and resilience – harnessing the power of people, tech, and innovation to future-proof logistics.
“Multimodal is the leading UK platform for all sectors of the supply chain allowing visitors to network with industry leaders, get to know new and established businesses, and gain unparalleled insights into the logistics and transport industry,” said Robert Jervis, Director, Multimodal.
“Last year’s event was an outstanding success, as people got back out after the appalling impact of the Covid pandemic. This year we are already seeing a further return, with our exhibitor line-up rapidly expanding and we fully expect it to reach 250.”
Multimodal 2022 seminar sessions will bring together industry leaders as well as transport and logistics organisations, including Logistics UK, the British International Freight Association (BIFA), and the Institute of Export and International Trade (IOE&IT).
The Multimodal Awards and gala dinner, which are a regular feature of the event, will this year be hosted by rugby refereeing legend, Nigel Owens.
Multimodal 2022 will also build on the successful new attraction introduced last year- the BIFA Freight Forwarders Village - providing a marketplace for freight forwarders to showcase the products and services they offer in a simple and cost effective way.
Multimodal represents every logistics sector under one roof, and is characterised by key vertical sectors, including manufacturing, retail, agribusiness, chemical, automotive, electronics, FMCG, food and drink, fashion, pharmaceuticals, construction, aerospace, energy, real estate, recycling, paper/print and perishables, amongst others, whilst horizontally, the show covers all modes of transportation, including sea, road, rail, air and inland waterways.
This matrix design makes Multimodal incredibly valuable and accessible for shippers - whilst also affording them the opportunity to successfully meet and network with peers from other sectors, which is another key reason for their attendance.
