Quartix, which recently celebrated its 15th birthday, has grown from just four founders into an international business with offices in the UK, France and the US, employing over 100 team members. The Freight Transport Association (FTA) and Multimodal are teaming up to launch new awards categories and more seminars at next year’s show – Multimodal 2016 takes place on 10th-12th May at the NEC Birmingham.
The new awards event is being rebranded 'The FTA Multimodal Awards' and will celebrate best-in-class achievement for all transport modes, as well as featuring new categories including innovation, training, and environmental best practice, and the Multimodal Personality and Exhibitor of the Year.

Virgin Atlantic Cargo's global reputation for moving high-value prestige and motorsport cars made it the perfect airline partner to support Corvette Racing's bid to win the 83rd running of the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race in France.
The airline teamed up with motorsport freight forwarding specialists First-Air to organise the delivery of two Chevrolet Corvette CR.7 cars and 16 tonnes of equipment and spare parts from Chicago to London on their journey to the French town of Le Mans, which has hosted the world famous race since 1923.
