Premier Logistics orders new SDC trailers to meet increasing demand

In response to customer requirements, Premier Logistics is extending its fleet with ten new SDC trailers.  The curtainsider trailers will be put to nationwide use from the company’s head office in Bardon.

The trailer order features six ‘tall’ 4.5-metre curtainsiders and two ‘Moffett-ready’ curtainsiders for the company’s increasing construction fleet.  A further two double-decker curtainsiders are intended to accommodate the logistics provider’s increasing pallet network trunks.

With a total of 75 truck and trailer units at its Bardon depot and a further 30 vehicles located at its Reading site, Premier Logistics provides customer service on a national scale.

Mark Steel, Premier Logistics’ commercial manager, revealed that the company has a long standing partnership with SDC: “Our relationship with SDC has cemented over the past few years.  We have a good working relationship with their staff and the quality of the product speaks for itself.  SDC trailers offer good, solid residuals and are very competitively priced.

“Our past couple of orders have included laser print curtains and we have received much praise for the way they look on the road.  Image is everything to us and SDC help us display that to other road users and, more importantly, potential customers.”

Consolidation is now the primary focus for the logistics operator as it aims to increase revenue in the areas of warehouse and operational efficiency in 2015.  Premier Logistics also intends to further develop its Irish business following significant expansion over the last four years.
