Paid placement could deliver a career in logistics

Lutterworth based Core Management Logistics (CML) is offering a year long paid placement for an undergraduate within its international freight department as a part of an overall expansion plan.

The full-time placement would be ideally suited to a business student looking to take a gap year or anyone with an interest in sales and/or logistics eager to undertake a year in industry before completing their university studies.

The role would provide the successful candidate with the chance to gain hands on experience and unrivalled knowledge within the international logistics industry.  Duties would include building and maintaining successful relationships with new and existing customers.

Graham Copley, Managing Director of CML, commented: “We’re keen to encourage more people to enter into the logistics industry and think this is a great opportunity for a student to gain hands on experience, in-depth knowledge and add new skills to their CV which will set them apart from other candidates when they come to apply for future jobs.

“There is also a potential that the role could lead to a permanent position within the company for the right candidate.”

As a privately owned supply-chain services company, CML specialises in retail warehousing and distribution and works with a number of exciting retail brands including Marks & Spencer, L.K.Bennett, Finery London and MiH Jeans – to name just a few.

It has also been providing air, ocean, road and rail international freight forwarding services since 2008 to Asia, Europe and the Americas and has recently taken on more staff in order to expand its import and export markets into South America and the Middle East.
