RHA raises the bar at the CV Show
A new energy and drive that focuses on delivering unprecedented levels of service and value for members and the road transport industry, underpins the new Road Haulage Association (RHA) on Stand 5G40 at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show (CV Show).
Speaking about the RHA’s participation at this year’s premier event for the road transport industry, chief executive, Richard Burnett said: “Our policy team has been working tirelessly to drive forward solutions on a range of issues including: the driver shortage, the cost of fuel, better roads and raising industry’s profile among school leavers and young people.
“On day one of the show we will be launching our 2015 General Election Manifesto, and campaign aimed at putting the issues that most effect members and the wider industry at the forefront of the election debate.
“Delivering the best levels of service and value for members is a fundamental part of our renewed focus and on the stand a team of specialists will be showcasing our industry leading suite of benefits and services.”
Also on day one, the launch of the Microlise Driver of the Year competition, which is supported by the RHA and MAN Truck & Bus UK, will highlight the professionalism of the UK’s HGV drivers.
Attracting new drivers to the industry and retaining the ones we already have is a key RHA aim and raising the profile of the industry among young people and the general public is the driver behind the RHA’s sponsorship of the Speedworks Racing team’s car in the British Touring Car Championship. Driven by 21-year old Tom Ingram, the car will be on the RHA stand for the duration of the CV Show. Tom will be on the RHA stand on the first day.
Visitors to Stand 5G40 can also see RHA Analysis, the RHA’s tachograph analysis service, in action and there will be representatives from the much-expanded RHA Shop.
There is a competition to win free fuel and to see how much you can save with the RHA FTA Fuel Card. In addition visitors can take advantage of a show-only price of £60+VAT for the next, highly popular, RHA Compliance Conference.
Richard Burnett continued: “We are building a better, more dynamic and effective RHA. Our stand, at the biggest CV Show for years, will showcase the exciting progress we have already made towards making the RHA the association of choice for the road haulage and logistics industry. I look forward to meeting you at the Show.”
