Gyles Brandreth recruited to host FLTA Awards 2016

Master raconteur and accomplished after-dinner speaker Gyles Brandreth has been announced as the new host for the FLTA Awards for Excellence at The International Centre, Shropshire, on 27th February.

It is a stroke of luck that the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has secured Mr Brandreth, one of the most sought-after award hosts in the country, who replaces Martin Bayfield at short notice – the former England and Lions rugby star and Crimewatch co-presenter is unavailable due to ‘Six Nations’ commitments.

A popular broadcaster, writer and television personality and a familiar face on the BBC’s flagship The One Show, Gyles Brandreth has also presided over dictionary corner on Channel 4’s Countdown.

Peter Harvey, CEO of the FLTA, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have such a well-known and well-respected lead presenter on board for Awards 2016.  Gyles has attracted rave reviews for his wit, warmth and wisdom, and we can’t wait to see him in action for what will be a hilarious night!”

Tickets for the FLTA Awards for Excellence always sell out early, so the Association is advising anyone looking to attend to secure their places as quickly as possible by visiting the FLTA website: www.fork-truck.org.uk
