Stena Line helps Tiger Roll return home after historic victory
Double Randox Grand National winner Tiger Roll returned home to Ireland with a little help from Stena Line last weekend.
Tiger Roll sailed from Holyhead to Dublin after creating history at Aintree by becoming the only horse since Red Rum in 1974 to win back-to-back Grand Nationals.
Following his stunning performance last Saturday afternoon the history-making superstar was pictured boarding the 02.30 hrs Stena Line sailing from Holyhead to Dublin for a well-deserved rest at his home stables. The only question still to be answered is ‘could Tiger Roll make it a hat-trick next year?’ His legions of fans certainly think so.
Keeping on an equestrian theme, the 2019 Stena Line Dublin Horse Show will showcase world class jumping of a different code at the RDS (Royal Dublin Society) Arena between 7–11 August.
Again on a sporting note, Stena Line is advising Munster Rugby fans to beat the scrum and make a big saving with their choice of route to Coventry on 20 April for the big European Champions Cup semi-final clash against Saracens.
This allows fans to travel across the Irish Sea together and return up to 36 hours later after hopefully celebrating Munster’s win. Not only does Stena Line’s short stay offer return crossings to Britain, you can pack as much luggage as your car can hold!
Diane Poole from Stena Line explains why rugby fans should give Stena Line a try: “Munster fans across Ireland will be making the exciting trip to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry to cheer on Munster Rugby as they represent Ireland when they play Saracens in the Champions Cup Semi-Final.
“Travelling with Stena Line not only provides a cost-effective method of travel but an enjoyable one also. With plenty of space to walk around or relax in the bar and restaurant whilst chatting to friends and other fans, sailing to the match with Stena Line really is the best way to go.”
