Liverpool to host IFWLA Annual Convention

For a third time, the convention of the International Federation of Warehousing Logistics Association (IFWLA) is to be held in the UK.

On 1st – 4th June, the logistics world will congregate in Liverpool for the IFWLA’s Annual Convention.  Registration to attend the event is already open.

A four-day programme of business and culture is planned for some 250 national and international delegates, comprising manufacturers, retailers, third party logistics (3PL) providers and other supply chain and logistics practitioners.

Bringing together all sides of the global logistics industry, the international convention is under-pinned by a two-day conference to be held on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd of June in the city’s historic Town Hall.

Hosted and organised by the UK's 3PL trade body, UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association), this year’s conference theme is: ‘Change equals new opportunities – the changing face of global logistics, and the opportunities for you’.

Derrick Potter, Chairman of Potter Logistics UK and IFWLA's newly elected President, said:

"Liverpool is a city that is undergoing a significant regeneration programme and an ideal showcase for the UK's logistics industry.  I am looking forward to organising a conference programme which will deliver high networking value and lasting memories."
