Coinciding with this anniversary milestone, Daifuku launched its medium-term business plan: Value Innovation 2020: With this initiative, Daifuku aims to be the truly global leader in materials handling, using new technologies and providing new solutions to increase system quality and enhance value for customers.
Founded in 1937, Daifuku has developed into one of the world’s leading material handling supplier of automated systems. These include factory automation and distribution automation solutions (FA&DA), baggage handling systems and various solutions for airports (ATec), material flow solutions for cleanrooms (eFA) and systems for production lines in the automotive industry (AFA).
As part of its new business plan, Daifuku will continue its aim for sustainable growth and provision of ‘smart logistics’ to meet the needs of the rapidly evolving logistics industry, which is bringing change to the ecommerce market. “With our intralogistic concepts for the rapid processing of small-scale orders, we are strengthening the competitiveness of companies in this field,” explains Thomas Balluff, Branch Manager for FA&DA Europe at Daifuku. “With Value Innovation 2020, we are pushing further innovations for the online trade in the coming years.”
